In order to treat certain skin diseases such a Psoriasis, Eczema or Vitiligo a doctor may prescribe a few sessions on the sunbed
and even recommend patients to purchase a sunbed.
Exposure to UV-rays thus takes place under medical supervision and the ray doses are carefully calculated, this is known as UV Phototherapy. People who would like to know more about the use of sunbeds on medical grounds must consult a doctor. |
